A man just won $500,000 from an anesthesiologist that was recorded insulting him during surgery, according to USA Today. The Virginia man was undergoing a colonoscopy and recorded some instructions on his phone, which was then accidentally left on during the entire procedure and caught a doctor, Tiffany Ingham, making derogatory remarks. Ingham’s remarks included calling the patient a “retard” and a “wimp” while also making fun of his alma mater and joking about firing a gun up the patient’s rectum. The patient will receive $500,000 for punitive damages and medical malpractice, while Ingham has since moved to Florida.
