Atlanta Hawks player, Thabo Sefolosha, plans to file a multi-million lawsuit against New York City and the NYPD in regards to an altercation in April, according to the Huffington Post. Sefolosha was tackled by police after allegedly disobeying police orders to leave an area where a fellow NBC player was stabbed, which resulted in a fractured leg. Sefolosha claims his injuries are permanent and have him left him unable to perform in his team’s games, although footage of his games have shown him participating heavily in games. A jury in criminal court found Sefolosha not guilty of three charges related to the incident in question. Now Sefolosha hopes to receive a substantial figure in his $50 million lawsuit.
