A young mother is suing a hair salon after suffering a stroke shortly after a hair service, according to Buzzfeed. In 2014, Elizabeth Smith received a hair service at Blowbunny: Blow Dry & Hair Extension Bar in San Diego. During her appointment, an artery in her neck was damaged by the shampoo chair and sink. Eight days later, she had a stroke, a phenomenon known as beauty parlor stroke. It took Smith months of rehabilitation to recover physically, but she is now hoping to educate the public about the dangers of this condition.
