A class action lawsuit may be coming for McDonald’s, as 28 employees have filed complaints against the company to the Occupational Safety and health organization, according to Buzzfeed. The employees, coming from 19 cities across the country, allege the fast food giant creates a dangerous work environment that has led to multiple burns and other injuries for employees. A survey taken among fast food workers, which was announced at the same time as the complaints, revealed that 78% of workers had been burned in the last year, and 58% had been burned multiple times. These burns and injuries were allegedly the result of management pressure, broken or damaged equipment, and overworked or understaffed work teams. The results of the investigation into the working conditions may lead to the employees filing a lawsuit against McDonald’s.
