Four workers were hurt at the Port of Galveston on Wednesday, according to NBC DFW. The incident occurred as the workers were unloading a 60-ton section of a wind tower when a ship’s crane broke. The Coast Guard stated that one of the four injured was transported a hospital, and the Galveston County News said the workers were not believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The Port’s director said that a malfunction with a crane led to the accident, but the U.S. Safety authorities are investigating the incident. No further details on the victim’s conditions or identities have been released.
