Florida State University has settled a lawsuit with a former student, according the Huffington Post. The lawsuit came after the student, Erica Kinsman, alleged that a football player, Jameis Winston, raped her. Kinsman claimed that the school mishandled her allegations. Winston was never charged with criminal charges, but Kinsman has also filed a civil lawsuit against Winston, who signed a $23.35 million lawsuit with the NFL. Additionally, Winston filed a lawsuit against Kinsman, but a mediation meeting between the two and their lawyers is set for July. In the settlement with Kinsman, FSU has agreed to implement changes to prevent future sexual assaults and harassment on its campus.
