The first settlement after the West, Texas tragedy two years ago killed fifteen and shook the town has been reached, according to NBC DFW. The accident took place in April of 2013 after an explosion occurred at a fertilizer plant West, which killed fifteen people, injured hundreds, and left a crater 90 feet wide and 10 feet deep. A significant portion of the city was also destroyed in the explosion. The numerous lawsuits were separated into three groups, the first of which included the families of three of the men killed, and was settled on Monday. The estimated damage caused by the explosion has exceeded $200 million.
