A fan died after falling at Turner Field in Atlanta during a MLB game, according to the Dallas Morning News. The fan, a man in his 60’s, was attending the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees game when he fell from section 401 of the field and landed in a 200-level area, where the players’ wives and families sit. No one was else was hurt in the accident, but some witnesses became visibly upset and were taken to a holding room within the stadium. Emergency workers attempted CPR on the man for about 10 minutes before transporting him to a hospital. MLB released a statement that it would be monitoring the situation, as several people have been hurt in the past few years at games, and some are calling for further safety measures at stadiums.
