The family of deceased teen, Tony Robinson, plans to sue the Madison Police Department for his death, according to the Huffington Post. Robinson was involved in an altercation with police on March 6th after an officer allegedly received a phone call about Robinson running through traffic. During the incident, officer Matt Kenny shot Robinson, who is biracial. Kenny claimed Robinson assaulted him, and police later said Robinson’s toxicology reports revealed marijuana, Xanax, and psychedelic mushrooms in his blood. Robinson’s mother appeared on CNN after the Dane County DA announced officer Kenny would not be charged, where she responded “absolutely” to host Anderson Cooper’s question of whether or not her family will sue.
