The family of a man that died in a Dallas jail is calling for the release of a video that may answer their questions, according to the Dallas Morning News. 48-year-old Joseph Sheldon Hutcheson, from Arlington, died on August 1st after he entered the lobby of the Dallas County jail, was placed in handcuffs, and lost consciousness. A witness and family members claim a deputy placed a knee in Hutcheson’s back and throat, which ultimately led to breathing problems and his death. The witness also alleges that Hutcheson told the officer he couldn’t breathe during the incident. All of the officers involved have since been reassigned to other duties. Hutcheson’s family, however, wants more: they are calling for the release of the video of the incident and an investigation by the FBI.
