A Houston girl has been hospitalized after a routine dental appointment resulted in severe brain damage, according to the Dallas Morning News. Her mother, Courissa Clark, took four-year-old Nevaeh Hall to Houston’s Diamond Dental in January for treatment of her decayed teeth. During the appointment, the child was restrained by a papoose and was sedated for seven hours using five types of medicine. As a result, Nevaeh was chemically and physically strangled and suffered brain damage. The dentist’s license has been temporarily suspended and Clark is now hoping to warn the public of the damages of children being restrained without parental presence.
