It’s been over four days since winter weather invaded North Texas, leaving roads frozen and closing down many parts of the city. Nearly 300,000 have been without power at some point, schools have been out for days, and grocery stores have run out of many items. And, unfortunately, motorists have been stranded and even died due to the icy conditions. According to MyFOX DFW, a third weather-related crash fatality was confirmed yesterday in Dallas after a man lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree on Royal Lane. Police have also reported ‘unexplained’ deaths that may be weather-related. Autopsies will be performed on those victims. In the meantime, drivers have been encouraged to stay off roads until warmer weather melts the ice.
