Three workers were killed in a Downtown Dallas building fire on Thursday morning, according to FOX DFW. The fire occurred in the parking garage of Thanksgiving Tower just after 10 o’clock on Thursday. Firefighters were not able to immediately enter due to visibility; after Oncor shut off the building’s power, they were able to begin fighting the flames. The three deceased subcontractors were found inside a 35-feet-deep HVAC system tank in a storage room, and three people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Several others were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is unknown but an investigation is underway to determine what happened.
