A trial concerning an injury sustained at the Cowboys Stadium – now called AT&T Stadium – is set to take place this week, three years after the 2011 Super Bowl XLV, according to the Dallas Morning News. Severin Sampson suffered a skull fracture caused by falling ice at the Cowboys Stadium; his lawsuit alleges that despite other parts of the country requiring buildings to have ice guards to prevent accidents like this, the stadium did not take any sort of precaution. Sampson is also suing the contractors involved in the creation of the stadium and the management of the venue during the Super Bowl. Several other people were injured at the venue, but this will be the first suit to go to trial.
