A worker in Central Texas was critically injured after an oil tank exploded on Wednesday, according to FOX DFW. The man, whose name has not been released, was using a cutting torch to remove bolts from a catwalk on top of a 12,000-gallon storage tank near New Baden, outside of College Station, when the tank exploded and threw him back. Investigators said the worker was slammed back toward the tank due a safety harness he was wearing. The fire burned through the harness, and he fell to the ground. He was then transported to a Houston hospital with serious injuries.
