Usually, personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits involve an injured party, or the family of a deceased person, seeking damages against a party that is responsible for the incident. However, one Canadian woman is suing the family of a teen she hit and killed in 2012, according to NBC News. The woman, Sharlene Simon, claims she is unable to return to work after the accident, in which 17-year-old Brandon Majewski and his friends collided with Simon’s vehicle while biking. Simon is also suing the families of the two other teens she hit, and the county in which the accident occurred. No charges were filed against Simon, but Majewski’s parents filed their own suit against her shortly after their son’s death.
