The tractor-trailer involved in a fatal accident outside of Austin did not have a proper permit, according to the NBC DFW. The wreck occurred on Thursday on Interstate 35 after the tractor-trailer collided with construction beams under a newly constructed bridge, and several vehicles crashed into it. Arlington man, Clark Davis, was killed. The driver of the tractor-trailer and two others were injured. The tractor-trailer did not the necessary permit to carry an oversized load, which prevented it from safely passing through the bridge; the company that owns the tractor-trailer has had two other significant deficits that required pulling trucks out of service over the past two years.
