Tracy Morgan and Wal-Mart appear to be locked in an intense legal battle, with each party blaming the other for the fatal six-car accident that took place earlier this year. According to USA Today, Morgan and the others injured in the accident have filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart in federal court, alleging the company forced their company’s driver to drive hundreds of miles while fatigued, which led to the collision. Morgan and three others were critically injured, and comedian James McNair was killed. Morgan’s lawyers claim it could be months before he is able to fully walk again. Wal-Mart, on the other hand, alleges that Morgan’s injuries are the result of his failure to wear a seatbelt in the limo bus at the time of the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the Wal-Mart truck has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges stemming from that night, and the Department of Transportation is continuing to investigate the accident.
