A four-year-old girl was attacked by a dog last Friday evening in Dallas, leaving her face covered in bite marks. The toddler followed her grandfather, Randall Byars, outside as he was taking out the trash late Friday and when he turned around, he saw his granddaughter on the ground and what looked like a medium-sized dog running away, according to CBS DFW. The girl was driven to the hospital and then airlifted to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.  Investigators say that the dog was likely a loose dog rather than a stray, which continues to be a problem in the area, as owners do not properly confine their animals.
