The Texas Department of Public Safety has again joined Roadcheck, a three-day nationwide safety pursuit for commercial drivers and vehicles. The safety campaign began on Tuesday, with Texas troopers watching for equipment violations on 18-wheelers and buses, and overly aggressive drivers, according to NBC DFW. Last year’s participation allowed for the inspection of nearly 10,000 commercial vehicles; of those, about 21% had serious violations, and 248 drivers were removed from commercial driving for various reasons.
