Distracted driving appears to be the cause of a December school bus crash in Tennessee, according to the Huffington Post. Police say that the school bus driver, James Davenport, was sending and receiving text messages before the fatal accident in Knox County. The bus crossed a concrete median on a highway and struck another school bus that was heading in the opposite direction. Over a dozen people were injured, and two students and a teacher’s aide were killed. Davenport was one of those injured in crash; he died on Monday. Police have turned over their investigation results to the Knox County District Attorney General’s Office.
