Alleging that his civil rights were violated, Albert Butler is suing the Dallas Police Department for an incident that took place in December 2012, according to WFAA News. Butler’s lawyer claims he was pulled over by Dallas officer, Brian Bradley, despite having no probable cause. Butler, whom suffers from hearing loss and wears a leg brace, was immediately searched. Butler’s lawyer also states that he did not resist, but the officer still used force, choking and forcing him to the ground. Butler was later taken to the hospital. The department cleared the officer of any wrongdoing, but this case is one of many that allege misconduct on the part of the Dallas Police Department.
