A tragic accident over the weekend left four North Central Texas College students dead and several more injured, according to CBS DFW. A tractor-trailer veered across I-35 in Davis, Oklahoma, on Friday evening and crashed into the college’s bus, carrying over a dozen players of the woman’s softball team and one coach. Three of those players died at the scene; a fourth was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Eight more players and the team’s coach were taken to the hospital for their injuries, where three remain in stable condition. The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated and released from the hospital, and now investigators are determining what caused him to veer off the road. At this time, authorities are treating the accident as a homicide investigation.
