A seven-year-old girl was the sole survivor in a Kentucky plane crash, according to the Huffington Post. The accident took place on Friday evening after the plane reported engine trouble and lost contact with air traffic control. Five were onboard the plane, which was heading to Mount Vernon, Illinois, at the time of the crash, but Sailor Gutzler was the only one to survive; she then walked about a mile to get help. Gutzler’s parents, sister, and cousin were all killed in the accident. Gutzler suffered a broken wrist and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She was released early Saturday. The Federal Aviation Administration is now working to why the plane crashed.
