A four-year battle is ending after Dallas County Schools agreed to pay over $300,000 for an attack on a mentally challenged child by a bus driver in 2008, according to the Dallas Morning News. A video of the incident shows the bus driver cursing at the young boy and choking him; court documents state that the boy has had lasting injuries as a result, which led his mother to file a suit against the school district in 2010.  The settlement calls for a lump sum of an undisclosed amount and $635 a month for the next 30 years with the amount increasing by 2 percent a year.
