One worker was killed and two others were injured after the partial collapse of a renovated building in Haltom City, outside of Fort Worth, according to FOX DFW. The accident occurred last Thursday at about 9 a.m. at the Hawk Electronic building on Airport Freeway. The workers were on the upper level of the building when the concrete and steel reinforcing the second level collapsed, trapping the men underneath it. A fire official called the accident a slant collapse, which means one side fell and the other was still attached. The crews attempted to stabilize the building, but one worker died at the scene. The accident is now under investigation to determine its cause.
