A Northwestern University professor has a filed a lawsuit against the student that accused him of sexual assault, according to the Huffington Post. This is the fifth lawsuit stemming from the 2012 alleged incident; the first lawsuit came from the student, who claimed the school mishandled the allegations, and then later, filed a second lawsuit against the professor. The professor, Peter Ludlow, has filed two lawsuits: one against the university and another against the media for defamation. A judge dismissed the defamation lawsuit in June. Northwestern University has denied any wrongdoing, though students and faculty members have criticized the way the schools handles sexual violence cases.
