An Arlington Police Officer struck a pedestrian Saturday evening, according to the Dallas Morning News. The accident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. as the officer was traveling southbound on Matlock Road, and attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection of West Arkansas Lane. Whether or not the officer was on-duty at the time is not clear. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening. An investigation into the accident in underway.
