A man and his wife are suing an Alabama hospital, two doctors, and their medical groups for allegedly amputating his penis during a routine circumcision, according to ABC News. Johnny Lee Banks Jr.’s lawsuit contends that Dr. Vincent Michael Bivins treated him for conditions that led to the decision to pursue circumcision, but after awakening from the surgery, he discovered that his penis had been completely removed by Dr. Alan Aikens. His lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages. Both doctors, and the hospital where Banks was treated, deny the claims, however a defense lawyer did not reveal whether or not Banks was discharged with his genitalia.
