Two Crowley Independent School District buses collided on Monday afternoon, injuring over 30 students, according to NBC DFW. The crash occurred in southwest Fort Worth near the intersection of Summer Creek Drive and Summer Park Drive after one bus rear-ended the other. 70 middle school students from Summer Creek Middle School were on the buses at the time of the accident, and 31 received injuries ranging from cuts requiring stitches and whiplash symptoms. The students were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Both buses also suffered serious damage from the crash, which investigators said occurred because the second bus was not able to stop in time after the first bus drive stopped to address a situation onboard.
