One Pennsylvania motorist is filing a lawsuit against the National Roadside Survey of Alcohol and Drugged Driving, claiming his rights were violated during a survey he was forced to take, according to MyFOX DFW. The motorists says he was forced into a parking lot by a government contractor, where he was questioned and asked to give a saliva sample; however, the federal government has maintained that this survey is both anonymous and voluntary. Still, other motorists and some civil liberties have also criticized the methods used to obtain the information, and some police departments have chosen not to participate in the study.
