A Missouri man and his family have filed a lawsuit against the hotel chain, La Quinta Inn, for a June incident at a Dallas location, according to the Dallas Morning News. While in town for a Baptist convention, Walter Harrison and his family were staying at the La Quinta Inn on LBJ Freeway; at around 6:30 one morning during their stay, Harrison received a phone call from the front desk. A member of the staff informed him there was an issue with his credit card and he needed to come down to the lobby. Harrison did come down as requested, but he was met with Dallas police and U.S. marshals. However, Harrison was not the person police were seeking; the man they were attempting to confront had previously stayed in the Harrison’s room, but had changed rooms. The Harrisons are now accusing La Quinta Inn of invasion of privacy and negligence in their lawsuit.
