The latest allegation against the Ferguson, Missouri police department has come in the form of a $40 million lawsuit, according to CNN News. Ferguson, a small suburb outside of St. Louis, received national attention following the riots and demonstrations after police killed an unarmed teenage boy. Five people arrested during the unrest in Ferguson have filed a lawsuit against the city and multiple officers, accusing the police of using excessive force and militant policing methods. All five involved in the lawsuit claim to have been arrested despite behaving in a peaceful and non-menacing way. The situation in Ferguson has since calmed, but many are expecting a large number of lawsuits to be filed for the handling of the protestors.
