A 50-year sentence was handed down to a North Texas man on Wednesday after his intoxicated driving killed a young boy, according to FOX DFW. The accident occurred in 2009 after Stewart Richardson crashed into an Arlington family’s van, leaving a 2-year-old boy with brain damage. The boy, Abdallah Khader, remained in a vegetative state until last year. He died at the age of eight. Khader’s mother expressed her anger at Richardson, who had at least seven other instances of DWI, at the trial. Richardson pled guilty in this case.
