A tragic accident north of New York City killed six people and injured at least 15 others, according to the Huffington Post. A Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line commuter train carrying rush-hour passengers collided with a vehicle near the town of Valhalla at about 6:30 on Tuesday evening. A driver in a Jeep Cherokee stopped on the train tracks to inspect her vehicle after the gates came down on the car; she got back into her vehicle, and was struck by the train. The driver of the vehicle and five passengers were killed in the accident. Fifteen others were hospitalized, and a nearby gym was opened up the evacuated passengers.
