Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash in Fort Worth this morning after a driver attempted to travel east on the westbound side of North Loop 820, shutting down the highway for over four hours, according to NBC DFW. The wrong-way driver’s Isuzu Trooper collided with a DK Haney roofing van at about 3 a.m. near Marine Creek Parkway, pinning the driver of the van. Emergency responders were able to free the man, who was then flown to a Fort Worth hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the Trooper was killed in the accident, and two women were also injured after crashing their vehicle into the first collision. Investigators are looking into what caused the incident, including whether or not the driver of the Trooper was intoxicated.
