A football player from Hardin-Simmons University was hit  by a car in Abilene and died. 21-year-old Taylor  Huff was  a former student at Arlington’s Sam Houston High School and was studying exercise science at the university. Huff was a wide receiver on the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys team and was expected to graduate in the spring. Star Telegram reported that Huff was wearing dark clothing and walking on a street without sidewalks when the accident happened. He was struck by a driver early Sunday, according to WFAA News, and the accident is still being investigated by police.
