Texas Governor Greg Abbott is urging Texans to stay off the roads, as numerous people have lost their lives over the weekend in storm-related accidents all over the state, according to the Dallas Morning News. Eleven people, including a baby, were killed in Dallas and Collin counties after several tornados touched down on Saturday. Several counties and cities have declared states of disasters, and countless homes were also damaged in the storms. Rescue missions are still ongoing, as the weather continues to be a problem for much of the state. Rains and snow storms were evident throughout Sunday and Monday. Abbott is asking resident to stay inside and off roads to avoid dangerous conditions, and to prevent rescue teams from splitting their focus from the areas that need it most.
