A young teenager was killed in a go-kart accident at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth last weekend, according to FOX DFW. 14-year-old Kierstin Eaddy, a two-time champion racer with seven years worth of experience, was participating in a timed race when the accident took place. The teen’s go-kart crossed the finish and kept going, crashing through a wire barricade and finally stopping about 200 yards later. A Careflite helicopter took Kierstin to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigators are now working to determine what caused Kierstin’s go-kart to crash.
