Two separate incidents of objects flying off vehicles on DFW highways have left drivers and their passengers injured, according to WFAA News. George Cervantes and Jose Salvazar were returning from a painting job when a 15-pound refrigerator canister struck their vehicle’s windshield on I-635, breaking Cervantes’ chin in three places and fractured multiple ribs on his right side. A second incident took place on I-30 in Garland after an almost two-feet leaf spring crashed through a driver’s vehicle. The driver is now in critical condition, and police are searching for witnesses for both incidents, claiming the responsible parties may be charged with a hit-and-run.
