The father of Jerry Brown Jr., the former Dallas Cowboys player killed in an intoxicated driving accident, has filed a lawsuit against Josh Brent, the driver in the accident, according to WFAA News. Brent, who rejoined the Cowboys team as a defensive tackle in November, earning over $600,000 a year, was added to the lawsuit after facing a criminal trial for his friend’s death. The lawsuit also names the bar in which Brent and Brown partied the night of the crash, accusing them of over-serving Brent. The bar, however, has denied responsibility for Brown’s death, and has filed its own lawsuit against Brent to account for any damages Brown’s father may receive from his lawsuit.
