A Fort Worth veterinarian accused of animal cruelty is also facing a lawsuit from a family of former clients, according to WFAA News. The Harris family believed that Dr. Lou Tierce had euthanized their dog, after they were told there was nothing that could be done to save the animal, but they later found out that Dr. Tierce was instead using their pet for blood transfusions.  Dr. Tierce was allegedly keeping multiple animals alive for this purpose; he had his license suspended after being arrested, however. The Harris family is seeking $1 million in damages for the emotional suffering they felt over the loss of their pet, and the shock of learning the animal was being kept alive.
