Two families involved in the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting have filed a lawsuit against the city of Newtown and the school, according to the Hartford Courant. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of two of the shooting’s victims, Noah Pozner and Jesse Lewis. It alleges that the school’s lax security allowed Adam Lanza to open fire in the school. Several of the victims were killed after being found by the gunman in a bathroom, which the substitute teacher was unable to lock because she did not have a key. The lawsuit, which comes after a separate lawsuit was filed against the gun manufacturer, seeks more than $15,000 in damages.
