Plano police arrested a 22-year-old driver on suspicion of hitting patrons outside of a bar and driving while intoxicated. The incident occurred Thursday evening outside of The Hangout off of northbound Central Expressway, according to the Dallas Morning News. Benjamin Newman struck four pedestrians with his vehicle before taking off from the bar’s parking lot; two were treated at the scene and the other two were transported to a nearby hospital. One sustained life-threatening injuries. Witnesses reported the accident and police located Newman on Central Expressway; he is now being held at Collin County Jail.
