Grace Garcia, the executive director of Annie’s List and senior advisor to former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, was killed Monday afternoon after her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer in Waxahachie. Garcia and the deputy director of Annie’s List, an organization that seeks to help female Democratic politicians elected to office, were headed to an event in Dallas for Senator Leticia Van de Putte, according to WFAA News. Garcia’s vehicle was stopped in traffic built up on I-35E for another deadly crash when a tractor-trailer rear-ended the car. Garcia died at the scene; the Texas Department of Public Safety will assist in the investigation of the accident.
