Nearly two weeks after the tragic South by Southwest accident that sent over 20 people to the hospital, four remained hospitalized in Austin, as of Sunday, according to MyFOX DFW. This comes after a third victim passed away early last week as a result of the serious head injury she received after an intoxicated driver intentionally rammed into a crowd of people; the two other deaths occurred on scene. The driver, 21-year-old Rashad Owens, has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Candlelit vigils and fundraisers have been set up to benefit those affected by the incident, and last weekend, a SXSW band visited one the victims at the hospital where she was recovering.
