A DART employee was struck and killed by a fellow employee in Dallas on Monday morning, according to the Dallas Morning News. The accident took place at the Dallas Area Rapid Transit northwest division, which is where the drivers receive their route information and begin their shifts at the lot, off of Harry Hines Boulevard at about 5 a.m. The victim was standing outside of his bus when another driver hit him; he was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital but died about 30 minutes after arriving. The DART employee that hit the victim was placed on temporary leave after taking a drug test, as is standard protocol for the company.
