At least one accident resulted from a sprinkler system being left on overnight in Dallas, according to FOX DFW. The Dallas Parks and Recreation Department left the sprinklers on near White Rock Lake, and cold temperatures caused ice on the roads. A driver lost control off Northwest Parkway and Lawther Drive; the road was then closed and a sanding crew was called in. Crews have also prepped for this weekend, creating salt barriers on roads and bridges to prevent ice, as temperatures are expected to go below freezing. Drivers are being urged to extremely cautious in the case that the roads are icy over the weekend.
