Two Dallas Area Rapid Transport police officers have been accused of wrongfully arresting a Dallas man in a lawsuit filed this week, according to the Dallas Morning News. The lawsuit comes from Terry Graham Jr., who claims that two officers wrongfully approached him while investigating an alleged assault on a downtown bus. Graham claims he was not involved in the assault, which other bus passengers confirmed, but was detained for disorderly conduct and placed in custody for public intoxication. The arrest resulted in head injuries, misaligned teeth, and abrasions, but the officers involved have claimed that Graham resisted and fought the officers. A Dallas County judge later dismissed the charge of third degree felony assault of a public servant against Graham.
