A group of cyclists were allegedly hit by a vehicle and then attacked in downtown Dallas Friday night, according to the Dallas Morning News. Elle Natchke, George Wendt, and Ying Li were riding their bikes home after attending a concert in Deep Ellum when the incident began. A black Volkswagen approached them, and began honking. After Wendt got in the left lane to make a turn, the driver followed him and hit him with the vehicle. The driver then began to attack Wendt, while Natchke attempted to take his keys and Li tried to defend Wendt. Because no third party witness was present, both Wendt and the driver were given citations for misdemeanor assault when the police arrived, but Natchke has filed a separate assault report for the incident.
